Dr. Merrill Landers

Merrill Landers, DPT, OCS

Dr. Landers received his BS in Exercise Science from Brigham Young University in 1993.  In 1997, he received his doctorate in physical therapy (DPT) from Creighton University.  After practicing in outpatient physic al therapy, he joined the UNLV Department of Physical Therapy in 2001.  He is an ABPTS Certified Specialist in Orthopedics.  He is the lead instructor for neuroanatomy, neurophysiology, applied research statistics, directed research, and psychosocial.

Research Interests
Parkinson’s disease, balance and fall assessment, neuroplasticity and neuroprotection, abnormal illness behavior, fear-avoidance beliefs, cervical spine

Professional Experience
Dr. Landers has worked predominately in outpatient physical therapy treating a full spectrum of patients.  He practices occasionally on a per diem basis.
