APPOINTMENT OF ADVISORY COMMITTEE:
Before establishing and submitting the degree program
PROPOSED DOCTORAL DEGREE PROGRAM FORM PARTS 1&2:
Before the beginning of the 3rd semester of enrollment
*Note: It is imparative that degree program forms be submitted
by the deadlines indicated above. Forms received after during
the term in which the student intends to graduate, may result
in a delay in graduation until the next semester.
PROSPECTUS APPROVAL FORM
Masters Students:At the same time the degree program is submitted
Doctoral Students:At the same time the degree program is submitted
and before advancing to candidacy
*Note: It is imparative that the prospectus approval form be
submitted by the deadlines indicated above. Forms received after
during the term in which the student intends to graduate, may
result in a delay in graduation until the next semester.
ADVANCEMENT TO CANDIDACY (DOCTORAL STUDENTS ONLY)
After all course work is complete, the comprehensive examination
passed and the prospectus is complete, approved and description
approved by the Graduate College Dean.
*Note: Generally, a student should not be advanced to candidacy
during the same semester he/she intends to graduate. Advancement
to Candidacy forms received after during the term in which
the student intends to graduate, may result in a delay in graduation
until the next semester. I will be speaking with the Registrar
about the feasibility of having the Advancement to Candidacy
placed on student's transcripts.
ORAL DEFENSE RESULTS (THESIS, DISSERTATION/MUSIC DOCMUMENT,
PROFESSIONAL /SCHOLARLY PAPER OR PROJECT) The due date for this form is
the same as the deadline to submit a thesis or dissertation
to the Graduate College - or a minimum of 2 weeks before the
end of instruction of the term in which graduation is anticipated.
FINAL EXAMINATION RESULTS (MASTERS AND SPECIALIST DEGREE
STUDENTS TAKING A COMPREHENSIVE/WRITTEN EXAMINATION) The due date for
this form is the same as the deadline to submit a thesis or
dissertation to the Graduate College - or a minimum of 2 weeks
before the end of instruction of the term in which graduation
is anticipated.
GRADUATION APPLICATION:
The exact deadline date is available on the Graduate College
website and is approximately 3 weeks after the first day of instruction
of any given semester or term. The exact date is always posted
at the Graduate School Website
