What is the Pittsburgh-Marquette Challenge?
An annual event, the Pittsburgh Marquette Challenge is a grassroots fundraising effort coordinated and carried out exclusively by physical therapy students! Students at Marquette University initiated the Challenge in 1989. Marquette is the Challenge's permanent sponsor, with co-sponsorship being awarded to the school raising the most money each year. In the past 17 years, the Challenge has raised more than $800,000, all of which is donated to the Foundation for Physical Therapy! These funds are then allocated to support physical therapy reserach and for scholarships.
Recordbreaking, schools participating in the 2005-2006 Challenge raised $132,771.68. UNLV was one of the schools that participated!

What involvement does UNLV Physical Therapy have?
UNLV's physical therapy students were excited to participate for the first time in the 2005-2006 Pittsburgh-Marquette Challenge. UNLV earned an honorable mention for the funds donated to the Foundation for physical therapy. Students hope to raise even more money for next year's challenge!
